#0007 Old Yeller
One of my yellow roses, the yellow rose has some history in this country. An indentured servant, a beautiful mulatto gal, named Emily West is believed to be the original Yellow Rose of Texas, mid 1800's. About same time a NYC lawyer did a hybrid yellow rose believed to be created in her honor, much, more to story, partly truth, partly fiction. Google the Yellow Rose of Texas and you will find several accounts of Emily, all pretty much same history, fascinating story.
